Valerie Gibson

Valerie joined our team as Office Manager in 2023. Prior to coming to Capital South, Valerie worked for 10 years in various capacities including payroll and HR within the barge transportation industry.  Valerie is an LSU alumna with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and considers herself a hybrid, having roots in both Michigan and Louisiana. In previous roles, she has served in management positions within the long-term care industry and property management. But her most challenging and rewarding role has been that of mother of 5. When away from the office, Valerie homeschools her youngest two and enjoys tending to their backyard chickens, gardening, and discovering 1930s and 40s films with her children.
