Robert Dufrene

Robert joined the Capital South team in early 2024 after having worked 34 years for the State (24 years at LSU and 10 years at SLU).  During his career, Robert held various positions in which he was responsible for office management, fiscal year accounting, Federal, State, and Private grant funds, as well as Foundation Funds.  Robert holds an undergrad degree in Business & Finance and a master’s in Community Counseling from Southeastern. Robert’s professional securities registration includes the Series 65-Investment Adviser Representative registration.  

Robert has a passion for helping others, especially when it comes to navigating their financial future. His goal is to help others realize that financial freedom is possible with proper planning, setting goals, and being consistent. A lifelong resident of Livingston Parish, Robert enjoys traveling with his wife, especially to see their two children who live in Iowa and New York. He also enjoys gardening and volunteering for various programs with his local church.
